ADOPTED DOGS 2019

"Bronn" came to DunRoamin' on December 3, 2019 through the NB SPCA.  He is a black with white and tan Aussie.  His coat was very dirty and matted and he had severe tartar and moderate gingivitis.  A dental procedure removing his bad teeth has rectified this and he's much happier now.  Bronn weighed a little less than 16 pounds upon his arrival and has now been neutered.  He was born about December 3, 2012.

Bronn is learning to live with cats and is starting to tolerate them - he had most probably never met one before.  He likes other dogs but prefers quieter, less active ones.  He is learning trust quickly and wants to be with his foster parents - he follows them everywhere!  Once you've earned his trust, he's all yours.  He has an injury to his

Bronn would like to live in a quiet household where he can be near his family while they work, play, watch TV, sleep - he just loves the company!  Thanks to his foster mom, he is now groomed, very handsome and anxious to start the next wonderful phase of his new life.  He's curious to learn what a loving family is like.

On December 31, 2019, Bronn was adopted by a family in Fredericton where he'll live happily ever after.  Congratulations, Bronn!!

"Mogli" came to us through the NB SPCA on September 26, 2019.  He was born about September 4, 2019, so was just a baby.  He is fostered by a caring vet tech to ensure he gets all the care he requires, as he doesn't have a mom.  But!  He has a home as soon as he's old enough and healthy enough!  His entire life has changed!!  He can't wait!!  He's moving all the way to Ontario because his family loves him already!!  Thanks to all who donate to help him begin this new and wonderful life!

On December 31, 2019, Mogli was officially adopted by his family who loves him to pieces!  You've come a long way, little boy!  Congratulations on your new home, new family and new life.  You're a very lucky little boy!

"Sansa" came to DunRoamin' on December 3, 2019.  She was born about December 3, 2014 and is an Australian Shepherd.  Upon her arrival she had scabs on her ear, neck, shoulders and chest area, perhaps the result of bite wounds.  She was thin, weighing in at just over 47 pounds.  She had moderate tartar and gingivitis which required dental assistance.  She also had a mass in her chest and was not house trained.

Sansa was fostered in Glassville, and . . .

. . . on December 30, 2019, became a permanent family member.  Congratulations, Sansa.  Now your  real life begins!

"Anya" came to DunRoamin' through the NB SPCA on December 3, 2019.  She was born about March 3, 2019 and is a bulldog who weighed in at about 18 pounds.

Anya had several issues including pinched/narrow nostrils which made breathing a little more difficult for her than normal - a congenital condition with which she was born.  She had an underbite, was lethargic, had long nails, dirty ears, pale mucous membranes and her breathing was not normal.

Anya has received the best of medical care at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, including undergoing surgery by her new best vet friend to open up her nostrils and trim her soft palate to help her breathe more easily.  She is now spayed and vaccinated and is happy, loving and doing very well.

Anya has one other medical issue to overcome:  she has a luxating patella in her right hind leg, which means her knee cap moves in and out of place.  She will undergo surgery in early 2020 to resolve this issue.  To be on the safe side, her other knee cap will be assessed in the future, but we're hoping it will be fine.  In the meantime, she is anxious to find a new home where she can share herself with a human or two who will give her everything she deserves.

Anya is a real cuddle bug.  She loves to cuddle with people and will lay by your side as long as you'll let her.  She loves playing with her toys and she has no qualms about sharing a home with cats or dogs, either - she has lots of foster siblings with whom she loves to play - even if they don't!  Her dream is to have a permanent loving home for Christmas - she loves her foster family's Christmas lights and hopes to have some of her own very soon, too!

On December 23, 2019, Anya was welcomed into a home in Hartland where she'll be spoiled for the rest of her life - just like it SHOULD be!!  Congratulations to you and your family, Anya.  Merry Christmas!!

"Ellaria," a little Havenese mix, came to us on December 3, 2019 through the NB SPCA.  She was born about December 3, 2014.  Ellaria was thin, weighing a little less than eight pounds, had severe tartar and required multiple dental extractions.  Her skin and coat were very dirty and unkempt and her ears were very dirty as well.

Ellaria has shown herself to be good with cats and other dogs.  She is learning to use a pee pad, to go up and down stairs and to go outdoors.  She would like a quiet home and will do fine with other pets in the home, as long as they are more on the quiet/laid-back side.

Ellaria's favourite thing to do when she's excited is to spin in circles.  She is learning each and every day about the wonders of love, care, attention and family.  She definitely will benefit from a patient, loving and quiet home where she can settle into being the beautiful little girl she is meant to be.  Your whole life has just changed, Ellaria, and it's going to be a GREAT one!!

On December 23, 2019, Ellaria got a wonderful Christmas present (probably her very first!) when she was adopted by a very nice lady from Taymouth, NB.  She will live the rest of her life in love and comfort - just the way it should be for everyone!  Congratulations, Ellaria!  Merry Christmas!!

"Yara" came to DunRoamin' on December 3, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  Born about December 3, 2016, she is a chocolate brown miniature poodle.  Yara has a beautiful curly coat and her tail was already docked.  She was thin, weighing about 9.5 pounds on her arrival.  She had serious dental disease with infection which required her teeth to be removed.  She feels so much better now!

Yara has been spayed, cleaned up and feels SO much better!  She fell in love one evening with a gentleman who came to visit his friends (and help them out!) at DunRoamin'.  She cuddled into his arms as though she had not a single bone in her body and proceeded to fall asleep.  Despite all she'd been through, she knew she was safe and loved in his arms.

On December 20, 2019, Yara (now renamed Rosie) became a permanent member of her new family and sleeps happily in the arms of her new favourite person and even sleeps on his bed at night.  Her life has changed forever and we are so grateful.  Congratulations to everyone!

"Khal" came to DunRoamin' on December 3, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  He was an intact Boston Terrier mix who was born about December 3, 2015.  Khal was markedly underweight, had tartar and gingivitis on his teeth which required dental attention, had long nails and debris in his ears which required cleaning.

Khal is a quiet, sweet little boy who would like to have a warm, loving family that will give him the home and care that he deserves.

On December 12, 2019, Khal was adopted to a home in Ottawa where he'll live the life he has always wanted.  Congratulations, Khal.

"Tater" came to DunRoamin' on October 3, 2019 through the NB SPCA after he had sustained injuries including broken metacarpals, ligament damage in his wrist and deformity in his front front leg.  These injuries had been sustained approximately two weeks prior and he needed help.  That's gotta hurt!  Tater was born about April 3, 2019, so was just a baby.

Tater will wear a cast for a month, then will need a month of very strict and limited activity.   We're hoping for a good outcome for this little boy - he's just a baby.  He would love to have a foster home that would be willing to bring him in for frequent checkups to make sure he's healing properly.  Arthritis is a possibility later in life, but we're hoping he'll be fine.

On November 16, 2019, Tater went to a foster home to undergo the remainder of his kennel rest and to learn some new things from his foster mother.  Thanks so much for fostering him while he awaits a permanent home.  You are very much appreciated.

On December 12, 2019, Tater met the lady he had been waiting for his entire life!  Now, he and his two new human family members will be together forever and he'll know only love and affection for the rest of his life!  Thanks so much to his new family - he deserves you!

"Eunice" came to us on November 4, 2019 from the local area where she had contracted canine parvovirus - a dangerous, contagious and deadly disease which can be contracted by unvaccinated dogs.  She was not in good shape, requiring medication, isolation so the disease wouldn't spread and daily care.  Her owners could not provide that.

Through much hard work and dedication of the staff at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic, Eunice is now healthy and ready to go to a home.  She is in a foster home while she waits to meet that perfect family who will care for her forever - including yearly vaccines to ensure she remains healthy and doesn't have to go through such an ordeal again.  Eunice is a Border Collie mix who was born about July 8, 2018.  She has a typical energetic, loving, smart, loyal Border Collie disposition and she can't wait to be in a loving home!

Eunice would like to remind everyone that a yearly vaccine can save lives, money, time, pain, suffering and discomfort.  Please spay/neuter and vaccinate your pets.

On November 30, 2019, Eunice was adopted to a wonderful home in Fredericton.  Congratulations, Eunice!  Send lots of photos of you, your new home and family!

"Charlotte" came to us on October 3, 2019, through the NB SPCA.  She had sustained a broken and dislocated hip which required a femoral head removal - serious surgery for such a little girl, but we're sure she'll be fine with the medical help she is receiving.  Charlotte was born about April 1, 2019, so is just a puppy.

Charlotte's foster mother reports that she is a very sweet little pup.  She loves other dogs and cats and has loved every human she has met.  She is crate trained and is doing well with house training.  She is a puppy, so has lots of energy and needs lots of outdoor activity and exercise.  She has a great recall when outdoors and is a real snuggler when inside with her humans!

On November 16, 2019, Charlotte was adopted by a gentleman in Florenceville where she will live happily ever after as a beloved family member.  She'll be safe, warm, loved and have a full belly and a best friend.  We all deserve that.

"Barb" came to us through the NB SPCA on September 30, 2019.   She is a SharPei who was thin and had a mild case of flea allergy dermatitis.  Her new best vet friend has fixed those things up very quickly and she's anxious to go to a new home soon.  Barb was born about September 30, 2013.

Barb likes to take her time to get to know people and initially wasn't fond of being touched along her lower back, but she loves a good back scratch now!  She likes the dogs she's met, and even has no problem at all with cats.  She is more comfortable with women than men, but she's working on that and has made great strides in a very short period of time.   She has come so far with the love and direction she has received from her foster family that we know she's gonna be fine.

On November 6, 2019,  Barb was adopted to a home in Plaster Rock where she will be the best friend of a gentleman whom she adores.  As an added bonus, she'll be visiting her foster mother and family frequently - she'd miss them terribly otherwise.  Congratulations, Barb, you deserve this!  Thanks to your foster family who changed your whole life.

"Mulan" is a sweet little Chihuahua girl who came to us on September 26, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  She was very skinny, nervous and had moderate tartar and gingivitis.  She required extraction of a some teeth, a bath and grooming to rectify dirt and matting, and treatment for ear mites.  She is also grateful for lots of healthy and nutritious food.

X-rays were conducted to confirm dental requirements and she will undergo this as well as a spay, vaccines and all other necessary treatments to make her happy, healthy and comfortable.  She can't wait to go to a permanent loving home.  She was born about September 16, 2014.  She thanks everyone who donated to ensure she receives the care she requires.

On November 13, 2019, Mulan left for her home in Fredericton where she'll live the rest of her life with love, care and comfort - they way it should be.   Thanks to all who had a part in her journey to this point in her life.   Without the rescuers, donors, veterinary support, foster homes, etc, this could not have happened.  Thank you for helping to save her life.

"Lenny" came to us through the NB SPCA on September 30, 2019.  He appears to be a border collie/shepherd mixed breed.  He was very thin and very shy, but he'll soon be fine - he's doing much better each day with his new friends and lots of good nutrition, love and care.  Lenny was born about September 30, 2018.

Lenny is great with other dogs but isn't familiar with cats.  He is house trained and learning to be a good boy.   He loves people and is learning to walk on a leash.  He loves his new freedom!  Come check him out!!  He would like to continue his training and looks forward to obedience classes.

On November 8, 2019, Lenny was adopted by a very nice young lady from Florenceville.  Congratulations, Lenny, you have a family now!  Great news!  Send lots of photos!

"Ashton" came to DunRoamin' from the Hartland area on August 7, 2019.  She had fleas and was missing much fur, most likely due to flea allergy dermatitis.  She has been treated and her fur is growing back nicely - she's doing very well!  Ashton was born about September 4, 2014 and is a sweetheart.  She is a Shepherd mix.

Ashton is full of energy and loves other dogs.  She will play until she has tired out everyone else!  She was fostered with several cats and loves them as well.  She knows a few basic commands, but will enjoy formal and consistent training.  She is anxiously awaiting a new home!

On November 2, 2019, Ashton was formally adopted into her new home in the Plaster Rock area where she will be spoiled beyond her wildest dreams.  She will have a canine sibling with whom to play and has a human who will give her the wonderful life she deserves.  She thanks her foster mother and foster for all they have done to contribute to her new life and looks forward to visiting.  Congratulations, Ashton.

"Aurora" came to us on September 26, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  She is a silky Terrier who was born about September 18, 2011.  Aurora was missing many teeth and extractions were required for some remaining ones.  She was filthy, had long nails, was very matted and had ear mites.

Aurora felt so much better after a bath, grooming, some medication and lots of nutritious food.  Shereceived the care she required and we're looking forward to the day very soon when she can go to her permanent home where she'll be spoiled rotten and begin to live the life she deserves.   She thanks everyone who donates to help her achieve that.

On November 1, 2019, Aurora joined her family in Woodstock which includes a couple of humans and several cats.   Congratulations, Aurora!  You'll be fine now!

"Venture" returned to DunRoamin' on October 24, 2019.  He originally came to DunRoamin' on June 21, 2019 from Woodstock through the NB SPCA.  Venture was badly matted, had long nails, fleas, he was dirty and still intact.  His living conditions were not acceptable for him so he was surrendered to DunRoamin' for care.  Venture was shaved to remove the matts and his nails were trimmed, he was treated for parasites, given lots of good food and was neutered.  He's now doing very well and is ready for a loving family.

Venture was born about June 21, 2017.  He is a Maltese mix and is a very nice boy.  He's cautious about meeting new people, but he easily warms up once he gets to know them.  He appears much more comfortable if he has another dog with him to keep him company.  He loves to go for walks, loves to cuddle and loves attention.  He would love to have a family where he can get all these things on demand!  He's a lovely little boy.  In July he was adopted, but he did not bond with part of the family and was not comfortable, so he came back to us to find a new home.

On October 30, 2019, Venture met a nice lady from Jacksonville and they decided they'd like to move in together.  Venture has a new canine sibling and lots of love and we're very happy for him.  Please ask your mom to send us lots of photos and keep us up to date on your new life!  Congratulations, Venture!

"Marge" came to us on September 27, 2019 from the St Andre area where she had been found in an abandoned house.  As no one was able to care for her, she came to us.  She was born about September 27, 2012 and had not yet been spayed.  She appears to be a Rottie mix.

Marge was a little overweight and had a fractured tooth, but was otherwise fine - she just had no other alternative for life.  She was fostered in a home with multiple cats and dogs and did just fine - she's a real sweetheart.  She a kind, loving, affectionate, grateful little girl.   She loves all people and all pets as she quickly and easily displayed in her foster home.

On October 30, 2019, Marge was adopted by her foster mother and now lives happily and permanently with five brother and sister canines (including another Rottie) as well as several feline foster siblings.  She will live her life in constant love, care and companionship, as she deserves.  As they all do.

"Merida" came to us on September 26, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  She is a Bichon who weighed about 13 pounds upon arrival.  She was mildly underweight and was matted with clumps of feces stuck in her fur.  She was shaved and bathed to make her more comfortable.  She was born about September 16, 2015.

Merida was missing several incisors and will require a dental cleaning.  She also had ear mites.  Merida is fostered until she can be spayed, fully vaccinated and all routine medical care is completed.  Then . . . she'll go to her new home to be spoiled for the rest of her entire life - exactly what she deserves!!   She thanks all who donated to help her start a new, safe, loving life.

On October 10, 2019, Merida was adopted by a very nice gentleman near Bath where she will have the life she deserves.  Congratulations, Merida - a whole new world awaits!!

"Smalls" is a cute little boxer mix who was born on August 13, 2019 to an unspayed dog named Angela.  These little guys needed a  home and were fortunate to have someone in the Douglas area to foster them until they were old enough to go to homes.

On October 10, 2019, Smalls was adopted to a home in Fredericton where he'll live the life he deserves.  Congratulations, Smalls!  Send us photos of you and your new family!

"Biggie" is a cute little boxer mix who was born on August 13, 2019 to an unspayed dog named Angela.  These little guys needed a  home and were fortunate to have someone in the Douglas area to foster them until they were old enough to go to homes.

On October 10, 2019, Biggie was adopted to a home in Fredericton where he'll live the life he deserves.  Congratulations, Little One!  Send us photos of you and your new family!

"Darlah" came to DunRoamin' on July 26, 2019 from the Centreville area as she was very ill with pneumonia.  She is a super-sweet little girl who was very grateful to be feeling better and spoiled so well.  She was born about July 22, 2018 and weighed in at 35 pounds.  Thanks to intensive medical care and round-the-clock tech care, she is now recovered and doing well.  She is spayed and fully vaccinated.

Darlah loves going in the car, going for walks and is learning to play with toys and other dogs.  She is crate trained and loves her crate.  She is learning well, but as with all young dogs, will require basic obedience training.

Darlah loves her foster mom and dad, but takes a bit of time to warm up to new people.  Due to her initial uncertainty with new people, we recommend a home without young children.  She is an extremely sweet and loving dog, but does need patience and space when meeting new people.

Darlah would love to have another dog to play with or an active family to keep her busy body tired!  She plays well with other dogs once she has warmed up to them, but likes to chase cats, so her new home will have to be diligent about not allowing this.  She currently is fostered with three cats and with daily reminders is doing much better with this behaviour.  She's anxious to meet the family who will love her forever.

On October 8, 2019, Darlah met the family she has dreamed of for a very long time.  While she will miss her foster mother who took SUCH good care of her, she is happy to have a permanent family with whom she will live and love forever.  She now lives in Fredericton!  Congratulations, Darlah!  We're very happy for you, especially your foster mom!  Send lots of photos and updates!

"Maple" came to us on September 29, 2019 from the NB SPCA after she was found running loose all alone in the Lansdowne area - probably for a significant number of days.  As she had no other recourse, she came to us.

Maple was born about March 27, 2015 and is a Shepherd mix.  She was itchy and had not yet been spayed, both of which will soon be rectified.  She will also receive her full vaccines and parasite control.  She has severe wear on several teeth - many of which will require extraction.

Maple was fostered with several cats and dogs - she loves them all!  She also loves the car, treats, cuddling, playing - you name it!   She is a Sweetheart with a capital "S" and her foster mother characterizes her as "an old soul."  She is quiet, attentive and ever so happy to be part of a family.  She does not like to be kenneled, but is fine as long as she has another canine friend with her.

On October 1, 2019, Maple was officially inducted into the home of her foster mother where she will have the company of several other DunRoamin' dogs and cats, all of whom love her dearly.  Congratulations, Maple - and congratulations to your entire new family!!

"Flynn" came to DunRoamin' on September 26, 2019 from the NB SPCA.    He was born about September 19, 2014 and is a Jack Russell terrier who weighed about ten pounds upon his arrival.  He was very dirty and required a dental cleaning, as well as a bath!  He was not yet neutered.

Flynn was a little shy on arrival, but he soon overcame that.  He was fostered by a family in Fredericton who fell under his spell.

On September 29, 2019, Flynn was officially adopted by his foster family.  He will now be spoiled rotten for the rest of his life - exactly what he deserves!  He lives with two cats, Earle (DunRoamin') and Mick!  Congratulations, Flynn.  You've got it made now.

"Flik" came to DunRoamin' on September 26, 2019 through the NB SPCA.  He was born about September 26, 2014 and needed some help.  He was skinny and very underweight, had an underbite, mild tartar, gingivitis, long nails, ear mites and scabs on the insides of his ears.  He had not yet been neutered.  Flik was very nervous and shy, but with the love of his foster family, has learned that his whole world has changed and he is going to be just fine.  Flik is a Pomeranian - and a very cute one.

On September 29, 2019, Flik was adopted by a family in Hartland where he'll be treated like royalty for the rest of his life.  His friend Maui was also adopted, so they get to stay together.  Congratulations!

"Maui" came to DunRoamin' on September 26, 2019, through the NB SPCA.  He was born about March 18, 2018.  He had mild tartar on his teeth, matted fur around his bum and back end and ear mites.  He also had a sore belly and he had not yet been neutered.  His body condition was not quite what it should have been, but his loving foster family has been working on that and with a proper diet, love and care, he is doing SO very well now.  Maui is a Chihuahua.

Maui will be vaccinated, neutered and all health issues will be thoroughly addressed.

On September 29, 2019, Maui was adopted by a family in Hartland where he'll have exactly what he needs to enjoy the rest of his life.  He will be joined there by his friend Flik (see above), so they get to stay together. Congratulations!  Your new life begins!

"Humbolt" came to us on June 20, 2019 from the Woodstock area along with his friend Angela when they were rescued by the NB SPCA.  Humbolt's hair was so long it had become severely matted and it was difficult to determine his breed.  He was very dirty, his fur was drenched in urine, he had a skin infection, an ear infection and he smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.  Humbolt also required dental work to remove infected teeth.  He was born about June 20, 2015, so was only about four years old.

Humbolt has received all care necessary to ensure he will be safe and healthy, including antibiotics and ear medication.  He was also sheared to make him more comfortable and was neutered as well.  Humbolt has some changes in his eyes and is slightly visually impaired but he does very well.

Humbolt is a very nice boy.  He is good with people, cats and dogs.  He is eager to please and loves to be around people.  He'd be happy with another canine friend if at all possible, as well.  He has been happily fostered with friends in Perth-Andover, NB, which includes other DunRoamin' pets - Murray The Beagle and Anastasia (adopted October 3, 2018) for example!

On September 23, 2019, Humbolt was happy to learn that he would never have to leave his mother and canine and feline friends.  He's so grateful to officially be part of this wonderful family.  He and DunRoamin' thank them for everything.  Stay in touch, Humbolt!

"Puck" came to us on August 8, 2019 from Florenceville where he had no home and therefore no one to care for him.  He was a beautiful little boy with a wonderful personality.  He was born about February 8, 2016.

Puck was fostered by a very loving and supportive couple in Woodstock, with whom he fell in love.  He crawled up into the lap of his foster father and relaxed within 30 seconds of meeting him!  Puck got along well with their dogs and cats - everyone loves him!

On September 12, 2019, Puck was adopted by a very kind gentleman in Stickney with whom he'll spend wonderful times walking, snowshoeing and enjoying his company.  Thank you!  Stay in touch, Puck, and let us know how you're doing.  Congratulations!

"Mercy" came to us on July 10, 2019 from Perth-Andover as she was much too busy and energetic for the welfare of her older canine friend.  She is a very energetic, loving, playful and cuddly little girl.  She would be best suited in a home with other dog(s) close to her age and energy level who want to play and run with her and help burn off that puppy energy.  She is crate trained and loves to sleep on a bed with her human and loves to curl up into a tiny ball with them or with another dog.  She is still a puppy, so she'll teach her new family to pick up items on the floor very quickly so they don't get chewed!  She is a quick learner and loves to please.  Car rides are one of her favourite things, and she is great with cats and kids, but in her excitement will sometimes jump up on a kid, so perhaps a home with older children may be best - she loves them SO much that she gets very excited and jumps up to give them all the kisses she can!  Mercy is also trained with an underground fence.

Keeping in mind that Mercy is a very high-energy puppy, she will most likely require another dog of similar personality to help her burn off her energy and will require lots of play and walks.  When she plays, she plays!  And when she's done, she crashes and loves to sleep with another warm body - human or canine - either (or both!) will do!

On September 4, 2019, Mercy met a young family from Fredericton with two children who loved her immediately and vice versa.  They are a very active outdoor family who can't wait to take her for walks, runs, to the park and they are perfect for each other!  She is now called Rita.  Congratulations, Rita!

"Kiwi" came to us on June 26, 2019 from St Andre, NB, where she had been struck by a vehicle approximately two weeks previously.  No one was available to take on her medical care or her recovery, so her future was very questionable.  Kiwi is a Lab/Retriever mix who was born about August 25, 2018.

Kiwi required surgery to excise the femoral head and neck of her right hind leg.  She required some rest for recovery, but is now doing very well - everything looks great!  She loves to be with people and loves to get outdoors in the warm sunshine and cool grass.

Kiwi is a beautiful little girl who is respectful, kind, loves all sizes and ages of humans, dogs and cats!  She is grateful to be free of pain and have such an excellent opportunity for recovery and a new life.  She is eager to please and she already knows some commands - she's very willing to learn more and she's very smart.

On September 4, 2019, Kiwi was adopted by a great family and she is extremely happy - so are we!  Congratulations, Kiwi!!  Send pictures!!

"Taggart" came to us on August 3, 2019 when he was abandoned in Riverbank by a man who refused to provide any information regarding his background.  We have learned from personal experience in the short time that we've known him that he is a beautiful boy who knows commands such as "Sit," "Come," "Shake," etc and is very loving.  He likes to be with humans and loves to give and receive affection.  He wants to give all his love the moment he sees a human and it appears that he will be a very good family dog, regardless of size or age of his new family members.

Taggart was born about August 3, 2018 and is a Lab mix.  He was unneutered when he came to us, but that has been rectified and he will be fully vaccinated.  He loves everyone, so will easily fit into almost any family who is looking for "a good dog!" because that's definitely him!!

On August 9, 2019, Taggart was elated when a couple he had met previously returned to take him home to be part of their family.  Now known as Tucker, we know he'll have the best of everything for the rest of his life.  He now lives in Perth-Andover.  Congratulations, Tucker.  You definitely hit the jackpot.

"Flurr" came to DunRoamin' from the Perth-Andover area on July 19, 2019.  As no one wanted her or was able to care for her, she was due to be euthanized.  Flurr was born about November 19, 2018 and as she had never been spayed, was also in heat.

Flurr was accepted by DunRoamin'.  She was soon spayed and fully vaccinated.  She is a happy, energetic puppy who requires lots of exercise (as puppies do) and socialization - she's active, lively, bouncy and enthusiastic (as all puppies are!)  She is healthy and happy to have her DunRoamin' staff attending to her every need while she awaits a permanent home.  She looks forward to a home where she can receive lots of exercise, love and training - she's very smart and very interested in pleasing her humans.

On August 2, 2019, Flurr moved to the Oromocto SPCA to find a home which she did almost immediately!  She is very happy in her new home and we thank our friend Tracey for all her help.  Congratulations, Flurr!!

"Bronwyn" came to us on June 24, 2019 from the Grand Falls area where she had been stepped on by a large animal resulting in a broken tibia and fibula in her left hind leg.  No one was available to care for her medical needs or undertake the recovery she would require.

Bronwyn is a beautiful little Border Collie puppy.  She is energetic, loving, happy and very pleased to have her foster mom to care for her.  She loves all her foster brothers and sisters which include both cats and dogs.  Bronwyn was not yet spayed, but is now.  She is also fully vaccinated.

Bronwyn's medical care included inserting pins in her leg to stabilize it.  Her x-rays reveal that all is going very well and we expect that she'll be perfectly fine in no time.  She was on kennel rest, then was slowly allowed to exercise her leg and it's going wonderfully.  She's anxious to start the next portion of her journey in life which will be nothing but health, safety, love and family.

On August 8, 2019, Bronwyn was adopted into a family in Fredericton.  "Today is the first day of the rest of your life," Bronwyn!  Congratulations!  Send lots of photos!

"Venture" came to DunRoamin' on June 21, 2019 from Woodstock through the NB SPCA.

On July 23, 2019, Venture met a very nice lady from Simonds and after spending some time together they decided they'd like to spend much more time with each other!  Venture is now a permanent resident of Simonds with a very loving family.  Congratulations, Venture!   We can't wait to hear  from you!

"Pixie" came to us on June 21, 2019 from Woodstock through the NB SPCA.  Pixie had a bad under bite, very long nails, a bad skin infection on her belly, infected teeth and urine scald.  Her care and living conditions had not been good, but all that changed today.  Pixie was born about October 2, 2014 and she is a Maltese mixed breed.

Pixie was bathed, shaved, her nails were trimmed, her teeth were cared for and she was placed on medication to help her overcome her medical problems.  She is now doing very well as a result of this medical care, good nutritious food and lots of lovin' by her foster family.  She is loving, affectionate, likes other dogs and appears to have no issues with cats, either!

On July 20, 2019, Pixie was excited to meet her new family who had traveled all the way from Moncton to meet her. Congratulations, Pixie - please send photos soon.   We are SO happy for you!

"Angela" came to us on June 20, 2019 from Woodstock through the NB SPCA along with her friend Humbolt.  Angela had undergone poor living conditions, was very skinny and underweight to the point that her ribs protruded very visibly, she had parasites, had endured having several previous litters of puppies and was in heat once again.  Angela was born about June 20, 2016.

Angela was surrendered to us and her care began.  She is a beautiful little girl who loves people, other dogs and doesn't even mind cats!  She has been given a nutritious diet, has been treated for parasites and will be spayed as soon as she's strong and healthy enough.

Angela's foster mother reports that she is so sweet and snuggly and that she loves attention.  She is playful and has a ton of energy outside (LOVES her toys!), but is extremely quiet and respectful in the house.  She is good with other dogs and cats and she will go into her kennel when requested.

As you can tell, Angela has a great personality.  She loves being with people and is a wonderful companion.

On July 13, 2019, Angela was adopted by a very nice lady in Royal Road where she'll be spoiled, just as she should be!  Congratulations, Angela.  Don't forget to stay in touch and send us pictures!

"Bodine" came to us on June 10, 2019 from Oakland.  Born about August 10, 2018, he is a beautiful Lab mixed-breed puppy.  Bodine loves cats, loves people, loves cars and already knows several basic commands.

Bodine was hoping for a new family with whom to live out his life - a family with lots of cats, another dog, some kids - you know, basically just every dog's dream.

On June 11, 2019, Bodine's dream DID come true.  He now lives in Woodstock with a St Bernard who thinks he's wonderful, two teenagers who think he's wonderful, two adult humans who think he's wonderful and four ex-DunRoamin' cats who think he's okay, but they're superior!  Congratulations, Bodine!  Congratulations to your entire family!!

"Drake" came to DunRoamin' on January 8, 2019 from Edmundston through the NB SPCA.  He had sustained several injuries and required surgery which included removal of the femoral head and neck of one leg and a pin and plate to be inserted in his tibia.  He also had minor wounds inside each lower leg.

Drake was very fortunate to have a wonderful veterinarian at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic to take such great care of him.  He has since recovered extremely well, thanks also to his foster mom who was happy to welcome him into her home.

On April 6, 2019, Drake was officially inducted as a permanent family member in his foster home.  There he enjoys the love and attention of two adoring humans, one ex-DunRoamin' cat and his best new friend, a small black little bundle of energy and excitement with whom he loves to play.  They are all perfect for each other!  Thanks to his new parents for giving another beautiful animal a loving home, and for all you do for our cats and dogs.

"Gabby" came to us on August 22, 2018 from Peel, NB.  She had some internal problems, including foreign bodies in her belly.  She was dehydrated, painful and had diarrhea. Gabby is a German Shepherd who was born about August 9, 2015.

Gabby underwent medical care and has improved significantly.  She hopes to have a new home soon and is looking forward to her very own family again.  Gabby knows some basic commands and loves to go for walks.  She also loves to chase snowballs and pounce in the snow.  She loves people and loves food!  She also loves her Kong toy and will carry toys around with her.

On April 6, 2019, Gabby was elated to begin her journey to her new home in Halifax where she will have a new German Shepherd friend who has experienced similar medical concerns, so her whole family understands completely!  You are SUCH a fortunate girl to have had the expert veterinary care at the Florenceville Vet Clinic and the friends who cared for you at the Clinic and at DunRoamin'!  Now you have the very best family also!  We wish you and your new family the very best.  Please send us lots of photos and let us know the joys of your new home!  Congratulations, Gabby!

"Lou" came to DunRoamin' on February 28, 2019 from the NB SPCA.  She had long nails, needed a bath and part of her front leg was missing, probably from birth.  Lou was still trying to use her front leg, resulting in injury to the part of the leg that remained.

Lou required her leg to be amputated and was fostered by a very kind family where she endeared herself so well that . . .

. . . on March 14, 2019, she was officially made a permanent family member where she'll join five other DunRoamin' strays who have also been welcomed into this family. Thank you so much for giving another stray a wonderful home.  Congratulations to all!

"Andy" became a ward of DunRoamin' on January 19, 2019 when he was rescued near Fredericton, NB.  He was a stray who had been seen wandering in an uninhabited area for more than a week and he was obviously very cold, hungry and scared.  There were no homes and very little shelter nearby.

Fortunately, some kind people took it upon themselves to help him and he is SO grateful to everyone, especially Stephanie and Elisha at Paw & Order for taking him in, feeding him, giving him a nice warm soft bed, love, socialization, training and also for transporting him to and from veterinary appointments to ensure he's healthy and up to date on all medical requirements.  Please check out Paw & Order here.  Andy loves all people and pets he has met to date - why wouldn't he love all these kind and generous souls?

Andy is now neutered, treated for parasites and has begun his vaccine protocol.  He is getting the very best of care from his friends at Paw & Order and is learning SO much from them!  Andy was born about July 19, 2017 and he's anxious to join a family where he'll be warm, safe, fed and loved for the rest of his life - he deserves that!!  Everyone does!

On March 9, 2019, Andy was adopted by a very nice lady from Hampton where he'll finally have the love and care that he deserves.  Congratulations, Andy - we're VERY happy for you!  Thanks to Paw & Order for all their assistance!  You rock!

"Scramble" came to us from the Woodstock area on February 5, 2019 where his family was no longer able to keep him.  Scramble is a beautiful little terrier mix who loves people.  He was born about July 25, 2017.

Scramble would like a home where he will get lots of exercise, routine and, as with any dog and his master or mistress, obedience training would be wonderful.  He aims to please!!  We'd like to thank our friends at Sit, Stay and Play, Lindsay, NB for fostering this little guy.   Please check them out - they're wonderful!

On February 28, 2019, Scramble was so very lucky to meet a young couple from Beaverbank, NS.  He now is a permanent family member along with DunRoamin's Sampson, Samba and Rumba (now known as Leonard and Penny). Thank you SO much for giving a fourth DunRoamin' stray their dream home!  Congratulations to everyone!

Meet "Lumi."  Lumi is about two years old and loves just about everything!   She loves going with her foster mom in the car, for walks, and when her foster mom takes her to meet new people.  She loves having a friend in her foster home to keep her feeling safe! She doesn't really like being left home alone, but is learning that mom will always come home to her.  She really hates being put in a crate by herself.   She's a good girl when her foster mom leaves, but just cannot help herself when the garbage can is full so her foster mom locks that up -  Lumi just naps and waits for her foster mom to come home now. Although she likes going for walks and playing for a few minutes, she would rather snuggle on the couch or bug the kitties. She loves kitties!   She needs a mom and dad who are’t away a lot who can give her a consistent routine so she feels safe.   Lumi would love a forever home of her own where the love and treats are endless, although she loves her foster mother and foster family who have done so much for her.

On March 2, 2019, Lumi was SOOOO excited to meet a very nice gentleman who eagerly accepted her into his family.  She now lives in Minto and will be loved and cared for forever.  Congratulations, Lumi!  This is what it's all about!  Send us photos of you and your new family!

"Willie" came to us on November 12, 2018 from the NB SPCA.  He was very cold and thin.  He is a Boxer mix who was born about November 13, 2016.  Willie was very fortunate to have lots of people to care for him while he acclimatized to a home that gave him love, attention and friendship.  After receiving all medical care required, including neuter and vaccines . . .

. . . on January 25, 2019, Willie went to his new home in Dow Settlement where he'll live happily every after.  This is one happy, fortunate little Boxer, and he knows it!  As do we all.  Thanks to all who had a hand in changing his life forever.  Congratulations, Willie!

"Chilly" came to us on November 12, 2018 from the NB SPCA.  She was freezing cold and emaciated.  She required much medical care, including warm IV solutions, heating pads and the many skills of her new vet to ensure she would be fine.  Chilly was born about November 13, 2016.

Chilly was fostered by a very supportive friend who ensured she got all the love and care she needed while she recovered and was ready to go to a permanent home.  She thanks Kim and all the people who made her new life possible - she's very fortunate that she was brought to us when she was, and that her vet friend was available, willing and able to help out.  Thank you for saving this beautiful little girl.

On January 22, 2019, Chilly was adopted to a wonderful home in Benton where she'll live out her life in perfect bliss, as every dog should.  Thanks to everyone who had a hand in changing her life forever.

"Iclyn" came to us on November 12, 2018 from the NB SPCA.  She was cold and emaciated.  Iclyn was born about November 13, 2018 and is a Boxer mix.  Iclyn was immediately examined by her new vet and her care began.  She is very loving and affectionate and very grateful for the warmth, food and love that she experienced in her foster home where she loved the kids, riding in the car and her foster brother.  She learned basic commands and was very quiet and respectful in the house.  Her foster mother described her as ". . . the sweetest dog on earth!"

On January 19, 2019, Iclyn was adopted to a home in Woodstock where she'll receive the life and love that she deserves.  Everything's gonna be fine now, Iclyn!  Congratulations to you and your family!  And thanks once again to everyone who made this new life possible for you!

"Shivers" came to us from the NB SPCA on November 12, 2018.  She was cold and thin but was otherwise in decent health.  Shivers was born about November 13, 2013.   Shivers is a beautiful little girl who is very affectionate and loving.  She is very smart and wants only to please her friends.

Shivers was spayed, vaccinated, given lots of food, love, a warm bed and the very best of care.  She was extremely fortunate to be fostered by our very good friends in Woodstock who have fostered so many dogs and cats who have needed them.  We're forever grateful.

On January 18, 2019, Shivers, now known as Kash, was officially adopted by a family from Rusagonis where she'll live the life she deserves as a sibling to another DunRoamin' dog, Brookside.  You've got it made now, Kash!  Congratulations to you and your family!

"Mercy" came to DunRoamin' on November 12, 2018 from Red Bridge where she had been found.  No family could be located.  Mercy was thin but was otherwise in good shape, although her ribs and pelvis were prominent.  She was born about April 13, 2018.

Mercy was fostered in a home in Perth-Andover where she endeared herself to her foster mother so much that they decided they should never be separated.

On January 8, 2019, she was made an official and permanent family member.  Congratulations, Mercy!  Tell your mom thanks!  And congratulations to the rest of your family, including your new four-legged siblings!
